🐻💙 Bearfest was AMAZING today! From start to finish, it was such a great celebration of our school and community. We love seeing our Bears, families, and friends all come together—days like this remind us how special it is to be part of the Bear family.
Now it’s time to take that energy to the field! ⚡️🏈 We can’t wait to see our Bears in action—so grab your blue and white and come cheer them on loud and proud. Let’s pack the stands and show everyone what Bear pride is all about! 🐾

Ms. Aishman’s class took teamwork to new heights—literally! 🏗️✨ Students worked together to build pyramids out of solo cups without ever touching the cups with their hands. It took patience, problem-solving, and plenty of laughs, but the results were awesome! 🙌💡

🧠💡 Coach Nantze’s Health classes have been busy diving into Emotional Health and Coping Strategies this week! Students worked together to create posters that promote positive ways to handle stress, manage emotions, and support healthy learning.
From calming techniques to uplifting reminders, their presentations are all about helping classmates find smart, healthy ways to cope with life’s challenges. 👏
Way to go, Bears—taking care of our minds is just as important as taking care of our bodies! 🐻💙

💙🐻 In Ms. Hum’s AVID class, it’s all about teamwork and connection! Students spent time collaborating, sharing ideas, and building relationships that make learning stronger (and a lot more fun!). ✨
When kids feel supported by each other, they’re more confident to take risks, ask questions, and grow together. That’s what AVID is all about—working hard and lifting each other up along the way! 🙌

💼 This week in Ms. Frakes’ class, students learned how to give a proper handshake and introduce themselves like a pro. They even came up with their own interview questions and put their skills to the test in mock interviews. Safe to say, we’ve got some future CEOs in the making! 👏🤝

🐻💡 Back-to-school brainpower is in full swing! Coach Shepherd’s 6th grade Bear Success class put their creativity to the test this week. Each student got a sticky note and wrote down any 4 letters of the alphabet. Then, they teamed up and used their letters to make as many words as they could in just 20 minutes.
One group crushed it with 42 words! 👏 What a fun way to kick off the year with teamwork, creativity, and some serious brainpower! 🧠✨ #BearPride #BackToSchool #WordMasters

What a great first day at SHMS! 🐻💙 Our students came in smiling, ready to learn, and we couldn’t have asked for a better start to the year.
A huge shoutout to our amazing bus drivers who safely get our Bears to and from school every single day—you truly go the extra mile for our kids! 🚍💛 This morning, some of our students greeted them with big smiles, handmade signs, and sweet treats as a small way to say thank you for all you do.
Here’s to an awesome year ahead—let’s keep the positive vibes rolling! 🙌
