Due to the continued weather impact on the roads, PCSSD will have another AMI day on Friday, February 4. That means that all schools and district offices will follow AMI procedures. Students are required to log into Schoology each day to complete necessary assignments. Stay safe!

Alayah Gillings is a 4th grader at William Jefferson Clinton Elementary School. Alayah is in Alpha and is on the A honor roll. Earlier this school year, Alayah won the Miss Diamond National USA pageant and was crowned Miss Young Diamond Star for her age group. Congratulations Alayah!

Students 12 and up are invited to submit artwork as part of a contest to be featured on the next edition of the Arkansas Northern Bobwhite Conservation Stamp. Entries should be submitted by Feb. 20. Students in Ms. Christianson's first grade class had fun learning about civil rights and Martin Luther King, Jr. on Tuesday. The students worked hard to create a puzzle piece poster and one-pagers on the topic. They even had open dialogue about respecting everyone after reading "A Picture Book of Martin Luther King Jr." during class.

Today we remember Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He was a civil rights leader who participated in and led marches for blacks' right to vote, desegregation, labor rights, and other basic civil rights.
