Wednesday October 23 and Thursday the 24th, and then again on Tuesday the 29th and Wednesday the 30th, 3rd, 4th and 5th graders will take ATLAS Interim Assessments in Reading, Math, Science, and Writing. Tests will start promptly at 8:30 AM. Please arrive at school by 7:30 to be on time and able to eat breakfast. These tests are important for our school as we work to build excellence for all students and become an achieving school!

Families, Oak Grove Elementary is kicking off a fall fundraiser this Friday! We will be selling World's Finest Chocolate bars for $1 each. A box contains 60 candy bars. Permission forms will come home this Friday. We have some exciting things planned: to continue Clubs with 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade and Monthly PBIS Incentives for all students who meet the points criteria. As we implement our Student Council, we will get input from our student leaders on how we can enrich their school experience. If you can help, we would appreciate your support!


Oak Grove Families: Next week is a busy week here at OGE. Its Red Ribbon Week October 21-October 25th, so plan your outfits now! Also, Monday is school picture day, so be sure to Dress for Success (and smile for pictures). Report cards will come home on Thursday the 24th and on Friday the 25th we are having an Awards Assembly to recognize students who are working independently on grade level standards and showing outstanding growth! There will be lots of opportunities to celebrate Building Excellence at OGE next week!


4th and 5th grade students at OAK GROVE ELEMENTARY received an important civic lesson last week. Marquis Boyle of Kimberly-Clark visited the school and taught students how to take care of a flag, ways to show respect to the flag, and how to fold a flag. #pcssdproud #serveall









Please mark your calendar for Friday, October 25th as Oak Grove Elementary celebrates Building Excellence. Students will be recognized for working on grade level content in reading and math and also for showing greater than expected growth! Excellent attendance and standout students in art, music, and PE will also be recognized. Parents will receive notice early in the week if your child will be receiving an award.

Maumelle High School Varsity Cheer Team is hosting their annual mini cheer camp on Saturday, November 2nd from 9am-11:30am. Campers will learn cheers, dances, jumps and basics stunting techniques. They will perform at halftime of the November 7 Thursday night football game (Senior Night). The cost for the minicamp is $40, and it includes a T-shirt and snack.
