It's National Handwashing Awareness Week. There IS a proper way to wash your hands:
Wet hands w/ clean, running water (warm or cold)
Apply soap
Scrub front & back of hands, between fingers, & under nails for 20 sec
Rinse hands w/ clean, running water
Dry hands using a clean towel
November is Native American Heritage Month. Programs across the country work tirelessly to preserve the stories and heritage of the original inhabitants of the land. But some tribes are keeping traditions alive, including American Indians, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiians.
Today is World AIDS Day. Today we unite in the fight against HIV. World AIDS Day was founded in 1988 and was the first ever global health day.
Dr. Monica Meadows is a Gifted & Talented Facilitator at College Station & Daisy Bates elementaries. She is helping other educators reach students from low-income homes by contributing to a new book, "Unlocking Potential."

November is Native American Heritage Month. Some well known inventions by Native Americans include anesthetics and topical pain relievers, corn, and kayaks. But some lesser known contributions include syringes, cable suspension bridges, hammocks, baby bottles, and mouthwash.
November is Child Safety Protection Month. There are some important steps to take to keep children safe outside like checking play areas to ensure lawn equipment, tools, or other yard items, like branches, are put away to prevent injury. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence
