November is Child Safety and Protection Month. The National Safety Council and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration encourage teen drivers to put down their cell phones, slow down and wear a seatbelt.

The SYLVAN HILLS MIDDLE AVID team had a blast preparing and working a haunted stage for the PBIS Fall Festival earlier this week.

Honor Roll Assembly this evening! Qualifying students have received invitations. Please join us tonight as we recognize and celebrate these youngsters. We'll have hot dogs, chips, and drinks...6th grade at 5:30, 7th grade at 6:00 and 8th grade at 6:30.

This week is National School Bus Safety Week. The school bus ride is an extension of the school day and PCSSD schools is committed to providing a safe transportation experience for all students across the district.

School pictures will be taken Wednesday the 16th. Forms were sent home with students and there are extra forms in the office.

Every PCSSD staff member is encouraged to wear red on Tuesday, October 15 in honor of World Dyslexia Day.


Lady Bears are River City Champions! 8th grade capped off undefeated season by defeating Maumelle in the final. 7th grade Lady Bears also undefeated. SHMS combined 37-0 this fall😎

October is National Bullying Prevention Month. The National Bullying Prevention Center provides a "Kids Against Bullying" pledge encouraging kids to speak up against bullying, support those being bullied & to be a friend when they see bullying. http://ow.ly/snaM50wEVmm
