Each student dedicated their agamograph to a family member or teacher who has served in the military, making this project even more personal and meaningful. Meanwhile, 6th graders designed their own totem poles with animals that represent their unique stories. 🦉🐻 The highlight? Ms. Reimer’s General Music class showcased their creativity and teamwork by using AVID collaboration strategies to dive into the Renaissance period of music! 🎶✨ Students worked in groups to research and create posters about a characteristic, composer, or instrument from this fascinating era.
After presenting their posters, they completed a gallery walk, taking detailed notes on the information shared by their classmates. What an engaging way to learn and grow together! Great job, scholars! 🙌

Sylvan Hills Middle School transformed into an animated movie set for the much-anticipated Minion Day, sponsored by the Bears That Care Club. Students dressed as minions, while our very own principal Hudgeons decked out as Gru (the minion leader). We can’t forget Mr. Withers who joined the fun as the villain Vector. Cheers to school spirit, minion-style!
