We are excited to introduce Ms. Dave as the newest member of the SHMS Family!
Hello, my name is Nicole Dave and I am thrilled to be teaching the AVID Elective. I am really looking forward to becoming a part of the team. What really touched me during my time with some of the staff in Dallas was their dedication to the students. Their focus on supporting each other and uplifting one another for the benefit of the students was truly inspiring. One of the aspects of this job that I love the most is building relationships with both families and students. I am eager to help them boost their confidence and realize their true potential. In my free time, I enjoy a variety of activities. Aside from spending time with loved ones, I also enjoy pastoring students at my church. My main objective is to empower these students to uncover their talents and start pursuing their dreams today.

The Sylvan Hills feeder is officially a Guinness World Record Holder! On May 6, a total of 2,576 people gathered to break the world record for the longest human electrical current. Shout out Ciara Cole (SHHS) and her son, Jaxon (SHMS), for coming up with the idea to break the record. Watch the recap of how it all came together: https://youtu.be/OKJALIWwYrk
*Special thanks to Arkansas Children's Hospital for sponsoring the event!*

We are excited to introduce Ms. Russenberger as the newest member of the SHMS Family!
Hello everyone, it's Cindy Russenberger here and I am beyond thrilled to be a part of the SHMS community! I will be working with the amazing community based instruction students in special education. I can't wait to learn and grow together with them. The warm welcome I received when I first walked into the school, as well as the ongoing support, has truly touched my heart. I feel like I am exactly where I am meant to be, thanks to the guidance of God. Reading is definitely my favorite subject, and I absolutely love helping others improve their reading skills. The best part of teaching for me is seeing students progress and witnessing the joy on their faces when they grasp a new concept. Despite not being the smartest student myself, I have found my passion in making a positive impact on children's lives. They teach me just as much as I teach them. On a lighter note, I adore being a mema and I also enjoy camping and spending quality time with my husband and family. My goal for this year is to make a difference in the lives of both children and adults because I truly love working with people of all ages. I can't wait to meet all of you soon!

We are excited to introduce Mr. Patterson as the newest member of the SHMS Family!
Hi there, I'm Keilan Patterson and I'm excited to be a new CTE teacher at SHMS! One of the things that really stands out to me about this school and community is the strong sense of family that I've noticed throughout the campus. While my favorite subject is actually History, I'm really looking forward to all the opportunities and challenges that come with being a CTE teacher.
An interesting tidbit about me is that I have a serious love for shoes - I actually own over 250 pairs! This school year, my main focus and goals are to inspire and educate young minds, building relationships with all students along the way. I am determined to showcase my value and commitment to the SHMS community!

We are excited to introduce Mr. Cone as the newest member of the SHMS Family!
Hello, I'm James Cone and I have the pleasure of teaching Mathematics. A while back, I was stationed at LRAFB, so coming to Sherwood feels like returning home. I have a deep affection for Math because it fosters problem-solving abilities and encourages critical thinking in students. Besides my wonderful family, my other passions include my beloved dogs, baseball, and cruising around on my motorcycle. I'm excited for what this year has in store!

We are excited to introduce Coach Salley as the newest member of the SHMS Family!
Hello there! I'm Jaden Salley and I'm thrilled to be joining the Sylvan Hills family. I'll be teaching Health and PE, as well as coaching 7th grade football and basketball. I absolutely love being in a school environment and cherish the opportunity to positively impact children's lives. My main goal for this school year is to focus on building strong relationships with both students and staff, while ensuring that students receive a quality education. As a kid, English was always my favorite subject and came naturally to me. Fun fact - I actually have a twin brother! I'm a big fan of meeting new people and spreading happiness wherever I go, especially when it comes to uplifting and improving the lives of young people.

We are excited to introduce Coach Compton as the newest member of the SHMS Family!
Hi there! My name is Darryl Compton, but you can call me Ty. I'll be joining the team as a P.E. Teacher and assistant football/basketball coach. One thing I really appreciate about this community is how everyone comes together to achieve our goals. Math is my favorite subject - there's something so satisfying about problem-solving and seeing my confidence grow. Outside of work, I enjoy staying active by running, playing basketball, working out, hiking, and more. I just love staying active in general. My goal for the upcoming school year is to learn from my colleagues and discover what it takes to be successful as both a teacher and a coach.
