There will be 3 assembly times - one for each grade level (see picture). Parents are welcome, masks and temperature checks are required.

AVID students from SYLVAN HILLS MIDDLE and students from SYLVAN HILLS ELEMENTARY are partnering up every 2 weeks to work together on different projects. Lots of friendships are being formed between these kids. Just call them the AVID AVENGERS!

Educators and coaches across PCSSD are dedicated to our students. SYLVAN HILLS Athletic Director, Denny Tipton, was inspired by the coaches he had growing up. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

The 700 pod at SYLVAN HILLS MIDDLE is EXPOnentially Fabulous! Can't you tell?

Students at Sylvan Hills Middle had the chance to dress up this week for career day. Looks like our principal, Mr. Hudgeons, is a career model for some of our students and staff. We're impressed with the creativity on this costume by our very own Ms. Milner!

Drawing I students at SYLVAN HILLS HIGH are learning about linear perspective, which is a system of creating an illusion of depth on a flat surface, such as a piece of paper. Good work, students! #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

Students and staff went into "tornado coverage" procedure this afternoon for about 30 minutes due to a tornado warning in the area. This was a protective measure as severe weather moved through parts of Pulaski County. The tornado warning expired at 3:45pm and students returned to their classes to prepare for dismissal. All students and staff are safe.

NO SCHOOL ON MONDAY (October 18). District and school staff will be participating in professional development across the PCSSD. District offices will be open regular hours and schools will be open for students again on Tuesday, October 19.

October is National Principal Month. Check out this throwback photo of one of our principals - who do you think this is? He is a 1982 graduate of Foreman High. He was student body president, valedictorian of his class, and all-conference football. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

8th grade AVID students got a special treat this morning (Wednesday)! University of Arkansas at Little Rock recruiter, Allie Roles, talked with these students about college and career readiness. Specifically, she shared her experiences with what it takes to prepare for college and what it's like at UA-Little Rock. Thank you, Allie, for coming by!
